Cantrip 2.0.0: Double the cards
Cantrip » Devlog
Cantrip 2.0 is here! It brings a big set of new cards, loot to draft, new enemies and adjustments to existing enemies.
This is the full list of changes:
- 25 new cards have been added. That's more than double! I won't spoil them here, though. Go play!
- Most enemies now have some cards in their decks that are unique to them (which I also will not spoil), and they drop those cards as loot! That means these cards will be among the draft picks after you defeat them.
- There are 3 new enemies:
- The Cave Spider is a first floor enemy that can poison you, damaging you for several turns.
- The Mad Chemist is a second floor enemy that deals with explosives, sometimes to their own peril.
- Yaga is a third floor enemy that harnesses the power of the moon to manipulate AP and card cost.
- Enemies are a bit smarter now. They will evaluate the cards in their hand and pick a few best options for the current situation. If nothing stands out, they pick at random like they used to.
- "Transmute shields" was removed.
- The cost of "Meditate" is now 0.
- The draft interface now has a deck overview to tell you what you currently have. Hover over the card name to see the entire card.
- You can now skip draft rounds, so you can better fine-tune your deck.
- The game now keeps track of and displays your current win streak and longest win streak.
- Damage now has a screenshake effect.
- Play animations were shortened, especially for your own cards.
Enjoy! And let me know what you think!
